David Batchelor

President

Ensuring that Batchelor & Kimball stays prepared to perform consistently is David’s main responsibility.

That chiefly involves coordinating the company’s operations leaders every day and attending to the big picture of design, engineering, and fabrication.

David’s construction career traces back to Georgia Tech’s cooperative education program in 1978. Out of college, he worked for Mobil Oil in Texas for several years, then joined B&K as a project manager in 1985. Over the next decade, the company applied its deep experience in healthcare and industrial facilities to expand into laboratory and pharmaceutical construction services.

Data Center construction presented another opportunity where the company’s engineering expertise allowed B&K to become a leader in this market. During David’s time with the company, he has also served as senior project manager, vice president, and corporate secretary.

Working with project managers and the engineering department to optimize construction documents is an enjoyable part of David’s daily routine. Other responsibilities include overseeing the best-in-class service department and working with leadership to implement continuous improvement practices that assure best-in-class service.

David lives in Atlanta with his wife, Natalie. They attend Morningside Presbyterian Church and enjoy traveling, spending time at the beach, and taking long walks in Atlanta’s many nearby parks. David also enjoys fly fishing and golf, especially with their son, Brian. They have three grown children and nine grandchildren.
