Brian Batchelor

Chief Executive Officer

Charting and executing the growth and development of Batchelor & Kimball is Brian’s chief role as chief executive officer.

On the company side, that means overseeing operations and finding ways to innovate and continuously improve. For select projects, it involves managing teams and processes from preconstruction through delivery.

Prior to being named CEO in 2018, Brian served as operations manager, a role that involved overseeing all project teams, managing the company’s finances and playing a leadership role on key projects. Among them: a series of fast-track data centers and large-scale healthcare projects, such as the J-Wing addition to Emory University Hospital, a nine-story tower $36 million project, that added nearly a half-million square feet to the hospital.

Brian joined B&K in 2014, and since then, the company has posted double-digit annual growth, expanded fabrication and modularization capabilities and moved into new geographic markets to serve customers. He began his career as an engineer for Johnson Controls and later developed corporate legal experience as a corporate lawyer at the global law firm Jones Day. While at Jones Day, Brian represented public and private companies and private equity groups in connection with mergers, acquisitions, intellectual property and general corporate matters.

Brian lives in Atlanta with his wife and three children. He spends most of his time outside of work with his family but also enjoys fly fishing, golf and snow skiing. Brian and his family attend Peachtree Presbyterian Church, and he enjoys serving at the church and in the community.

“What I admire most about our people is the pride they take in their work. They’re motivated by doing a job right.”
