Danny Joiner, CPA

Controller

Danny is a quintessential numbers guy – he leads the company’s accounting team, ensuring that managers, employees, customers and vendors get the accurate information they need.

He chose accounting as a profession because he viewed it as a way to learn all aspects of a business. While partial to numbers, Danny views his job as something larger: He creates processes that help team members perform better – and see how their work makes an impact on the company.

After starting his career at an Atlanta public accounting firm, serving a variety of clients, Danny took a job at Brown Integrated Logistics, where he worked for eight years as corporate controller. He made the switch because he wanted to make a deeper impact on one company.

After joining Batchelor & Kimball in 2019, Danny made process improvements in the accounting and back-office functions of the business. These not only improved efficiency, accuracy and internal controls – they also place solid, real-time financial and operational data at the fingertips of managers. The data helps managers oversee their projects effectively and provide best-in-class feedback and reporting to stakeholders.

Danny lives in Loganville with his wife and their two children. He enjoys spending time with them as well as their extended family. He is also involved in his local church, where he serves on the finance committee.

“Because people are both contributors and benefactors, I work to see beyond the numbers to the stories they tell and lives they impact.”
